Making the decision to move to a retirement community is an important one. At Chartwell, we believe you should be able to make that move as soon as you’re ready - which doesn’t always coincide with the sale of a home.

Chartwell’s Pledge Agreement means you can move in today and worry about selling your home tomorrow.  We offer six months of ‘penalty free’ accommodation and services. Move in when you want and defer payment for up to six months. In exchange, Chartwell will take a security interest in your home up to the value of fees owing to Chartwell, which will be discharged when you become current on those fees.

In addition to the deferred payment plan, participants in the Pledge Agreement program are also eligible to receive $250 towards one of the following: Moving Expenses, Home Staging or Downsizing Services.
