Associate Director of Care

This opportunity is well suited to an RN with a minimum of five (5) years of management experience in a similar setting. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team leader and effective communicator. Working in a collaborative leadership role with the management of the long term care home and the nursing team you will plan, organize, implement, and audit resident care and provide leadership with continuing nursing education and infection control / health and safety programs, while ensuring that MOHLTC standards are followed.

 

The incumbent must have a valid Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario; A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred as well as past experience demonstrating progressive leadership and a hands-on approach to monitoring and evaluating resident care. Sound knowledge of infection control practices, adult education, and workplace safety is an asset.  Knowledge of relevant legislation is essential, as are computer skills.
